Tyanna is a Licensed Psychotherapist who has a passion for building relationships and helping others heal and recover from traumatic experiences. It has been the most rewarding experience in her career and with 10 years of clinical practice working with individuals, couples, and families, she has learned that clients are often their own worst enemy and best problem-solver. With navigation,  newly learned skills, and empowerment clients have the power to evolve into an improved version of themselves. A combination of traditional and non-traditional therapeutic techniques are utilized to aid in the process.

Earning her Master of Social Work Degree from the University of South Carolina, she has been a professional in the field since 2009, practicing psychotherapy since 2011. She is licensed by the State of South Carolina as a Licensed Independent Social Worker- Clinical Practice and licensed by the State of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She is an approved supervisor with the Social Work Examiners Board in South Carolina assisting those in the pursuit of clinical licensure. In addition, Tyanna is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the International Association of Trauma Professionals where she is certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional.

Speaking on the importance of mental health along with other related topics, Tyanna has been a presenter for the Columbia Housing Authority, the SAC-DST Annual Health Conference, and the SC Academy of Physician Assistants Conference.

Sharlianne Smith MA, NCC, LPC-S

Sharlianne Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of South Carolina who obtained a Master of Arts in Counseling at Webster University. With five years as a practitioner working with children, individuals, couples, and families, she is passionate about working with client’s that are ready for change in their lives. She is an interactive and solution-focused therapist. Sharlianne’s therapeutic approach is to provide support and feedback to assist clients’ effectively in addressing personal and life challenges. She integrates complementary methods and approach tailored to each client.

Sharlianne is a member of the National Board of Certified Counselors and a Notary for the State of South Carolina. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and certified in Solution-Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Sharlianne is here to walk alongside you and help equip you for the bright future that awaits you!

Martha Manning NCC, LPC

Martha Manning is a Licensed Professional Counselor who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the counseling field. She has experience in various modalities and settings that include group counseling, family counseling, individual counseling, and at risk-youth, as well, as working with the elderly population in assisted living facilities.

She received her Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and has helped individuals overcome various challenges such as family dysfunction, trauma, depression, bi-polar disorder, anxiety, grief and loss, addiction, anger management, and social phobias. 

As a counselor, she believes the basis of therapeutic success lies in the foundation of a strong rapport between the counselor and those with whom she works with. You will find that she is very forthcoming and transparent about her own life experiences, as she thoroughly believes that transparency and increasing self-awareness is critical to promoting success and positive growth. 

Tawana Tobias MA, ADC-I, LPCA

Tawana Tobias is a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the State of South Carolina. She received her first Master’s degree in Human Resource Management in 2008 and her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling in 2013 from Webster University.

Tawana has had the wonderful opportunity to work as an advocate for others as a vocational rehabilitation counselor with the state and a clinical addiction counselor for those who struggled with substance abuse. She has experience working with individuals, as well as, conducting group therapy and have worked with clients of all ages starting as young as 5 years old.

Tawana’s approach in therapy is a mixture of both Solution-Focused and Process-Oriented techniques with the main goal of building a great rapport with her clients by listening, providing compassion, and empowering them to reach the next level.

Richelle Bowman MA, CMHC

Richelle Bowman is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor in the State of South Carolina. She received her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.

As a professional clinician, Richelle has experience in working with diverse individuals who have a variety of presenting issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related stress, major life events, interpersonal conflicts, and much more. She implements a variation of therapeutic concepts, with an emphasis on Cognitive-Behavioral and Psychodynamic therapy. Richelle’s approach involves creating a safe, accepting, non-judgemental space for the client and foster a strong therapeutic alliance that reinforces healthy thoughts and behaviors.


Sherlonda Adkins, PA-C, MSPAS

Our partner, Sherlonda Adkins, has spent the last 22 years serving a socioeconomically and ethnically diverse population of patients, customers and students. She has improved lives by medically treating, educating, motivating and providing customized solutions through her work, community outreach, philanthropy and volunteerism. Working within the private sector, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and Fortune 500 companies, she has proven her commitment to the physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being of others. Sherlonda earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical University of South Carolina and is nationally certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed through the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners. She also has a Masters in Public Administration, a joint program through the University of Charleston (the graduate school of the College of Charleston) and the University of South Carolina.

Over the past seven years Sherlonda has worked in a private outpatient psychiatric practice treating a variety of mental health disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, major depression, binge eating disorders, ADHD, and PTSD. She also worked in a busy internal medicine practice treating a variety of chronic and acute medical conditions. She quickly and successfully built a large patient base because of her medical understanding of mental health disorders combined with her passion and natural ability to help people navigate life which is enhanced by her previous experience with financial management, teaching, motivational speaking and marriage coaching. With recent changes in the SC PA Practice Act, Sherlonda was able to start her own telepsychiatry practice, PsychMYway (https://psychmyway.com/).
