The intake paperwork is due 72 hours from the time it is sent. This allows your counselor to adequately review and prepare for your session. If it is not completed within that timeframe, our system will automatically delete the intake and account.
You can expect a warm welcome and a non-judgemental environment. Your first appointment may feel a little structured with questions, but your counselor will try to make it flow at easy as possible. This is where a lot of information is gathered about your life and the issues you face, so your counselor can have a better understanding of you as an individual and how she/he will be able to help you. Follow-up appointments will not be as structure and will be a more reciprocal exchange.
Most appointments range between 45-60 minutes.
All payments are processed at 9:00am the morning of the appointment. The credit/debit card that is on file will be charged for services. If you do not have a financial responsibility, a credit/debit card is still required to be on file for late cancellations or no-show appointments.
Although this is very rare, we do understand that it sometimes happens. In this case, you would have to come to the office to pay for your appointment at the time of scheduling instead of payment being taken the day of the appointment. You would have to pre-pay for all services.
A late cancellation is an appointment that is canceled the same day of the scheduled appointment. A no-show is when you do not provide any notice that you will not be attending or canceling your appointment. Please understand that your appointments are scheduled for you only and no one else. Reminder texts are sent the day before your appointment, as well as 30 minutes before your appointment. We do not double appointments because we want you to have your dedicated time, our undivided attention, and to not feel rushed. We never want you to feel like you are just a number at Evans Counseling and Consulting.
Yes, every client is given a “late cancellation free pass” every year to waive the fee.
Payment is collected first thing in the morning. If payment is not obtained or is declined, staff will make an attempt to contact you and collect payment before your appointment. If payment still cannot be collected or contact is unsuccessful, the appointment will be canceled and a fee will be assessed.
After 3 occurrences of a declined payment during your course of treatment in a year, an inconvenience fee of $20 will be added to your account for each incident or pre-payment may be required at the time of scheduling.
Your insurance plan determines the fee for services and can vary. Before your first appointment, your insurance benefits are verified and you are notified of the cost so you make an informed decision about services. We accept the following insurances:
Insurance is not accepted for Immigration Evaluations, Auto/Personal Injury Evaluations and Treatment, and Couples/Marriage Counseling. Please contact our office by phone or email for pricing. If you want to private pay for services, please contact our office.
