Tyler Daly attended graduate school at the University of South Carolina, where he received his MSW and shortly after obtained licensure with the State of South Carolina to practice therapy. He has worked with a diverse group of clients on concerns surrounding anxiety, stress, depression, trauma-related issues, major life changes, and more. Tyler utilizes skills from a myriad of techniques, primarily pulling from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing Techniques. He may also incorporate humor as a therapeutic tool while doing deep therapeutic work with the client. He strives to support every client in their journey of better understanding themselves and their pursuit of personal stability and safety. Every person deserves to feel comfortable in their own skin and safe with their own thoughts.
Tyler helps clients on their journey of self-discovery towards these goals. Tyler’s approach involves creating a safe and non-judgmental space for all clients, prioritizing the strength of the therapeutic alliance to help foster changes the client seeks to create. He has special interest in trauma- related issues and eating disorders. He is also an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, helping the community to find safety and security within themselves so they can confidently tackle the world around them.
In Tyler’s free time, you can find him running, in the gym, playing video games or trying his skills in the kitchen. Regardless of what Tyler enjoys doing, often he is spending time with his dog either on a walk, at the dog park, or lounging at home because his dog is a strict taskmaster. Tyler likes to crack jokes and believes that laughter is integral to life and that you can never laugh enough!
